3.4 % increase from April 2020

All India Consumer Price  Index for Industrial Workers- AICPI for February,2020 decreased by TWO points and pegged at 328. Therefore IDA from 1 st April will be 160.7%  i.e.3.4% increase. 

Donate to CMDRF or PM CARE FUND

DONATE ONE DAY'S PENSION

CHQ of AIBSNLPWA calls upon all members all over the country to donate at least one day's pension to the respective Chief Ministers' Fund to combat the deadly virus of COVID19. In the present situation of total lock-down,  it may not be possible to go to Bank and transfer the money to CMDRF or PM CARE FUND. So individual members can transfer the donation online to the CMDRF and obtain Receipt for it. The said Receipt can be used next time for getting income tax rebate. Our purpose is that maximum donations should go from our members to the government on war against the Corona virus. After sending the donation, please intimate the District/Circle Secretary over phone.

Jangareddygudem Meeting

Jangareddygudem Branch Meeting is held on 10-03-2020. 
Nearly 50 members participated in the meeting.
Out of a total of 32 VRS retirees , 26 have joined as life members. 
Jangareddygudem Membership is now 56.

Tuni Meeting

Tuni Branch Meeting is held on 09-03-2020. Com RSN , Bhaskara Rao , Com Sanyasi Rao attended and addressed. 10 VRS retirees have joined and 20 more have promised to join. 

 

 

Bhimavaram meeting

Bhimavaram Branch Meeting is held on 08-03-2020. 110 members attended. 63 VRS retirees joined as Life members.

Kurnool Meeting

 Monthly meeting conducted  in private function Hall on 07-03-20.   More than 100 members (old+VRS retirees) attended..25 members took life membership.

CWC rescheduled on 27-05-2020 & 28-05-2020

In consultation with host Circle , it is now decided to hold the postponed CWC meeting at Gorakhpur on 27&28 May 2020. Accommodation will be available from 26th to 29th. All CWC members can reschedule their train/ flight tickets accordingly.

GM Vijayawada conveyed their acceptance to provide accommodation for CGHS in Annexe Building of BSNL Bhavan Chuttugunta Vijayawada to set up CGHS welness center

Addl Director CGHS Hyderabad directed CMO Welness Centres at VJ/NL/GT/RMY  to convene coordination meeting with Hospital authorities for empanelment more hospitals at these cities , as per the letter received from Directorate and PMOs Office

CWC Postponed

Dharmavaram Branch Meeting

Dharmavaram Branch Anantapur District AP meeting today on 4-3-2020. Comrades K. Nagamurthy CHQ Vice President, GSN Prasad COS, A. Viswanath Dist Advisor, K.Padmanabhachari DS addressed the meeting. VRS retirees 19 members joined as life members.

NEW BRANCH AT ANAKAPALLE

A new branch of AIBSNLPWA at Anakapalle starting with 50 members ,including VRS Retirees opened on 01/03/2020, with attendance from DS Com K Somasudararao, D Treasurer P Babu rao,  Circle Ex Members SVSN Murthy, S Ramprasad, Dt. Ex M Venkateswarlu, K Nookaraju, Y Rama apparao & NFTE Circle President & DS VM Com K Kondala rao. A STITCH IN TIME . . . .

OUR PROMPT ACTION

A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE: It is better to act or deal with problems immediately, because if you wait and deal with them later, things will get worse and the problems will take longer to deal with.

Everybody knew that Dept of Telecom (DOT) only has the authority to decide about our pension, including VRS pension. After 92000 people opted for VRS, for some time D OT kept silent. Only on 16 th January DOT issued a circular on Standard Operation Procedure. As per the rules, provisional pension cannot be sanctioned in the case of VRS. We anticipated delay in sanctioning regular pension and issuance of PPOs. So we demanded through a letter on 4 -2-2020, that as a special case, provisional pension should be granted to VRS optees.

Some leaders of a new organization (only for retired Executives) ridiculed our demand. They said they are prepared to wait for regular pension. We knew that Retired group C and group D staff cannot wait like that. People were sent out without paying wages for two months.

Anyway, DoT conceded our demand. Permission was granted to give provisional pension. Almost all the VRS retirees all over India got 50% of the Last Pay Drawn as Provisional Pension. Please note that they did not get salary for January; they got pension for February. We are happy. Our prompt action had its results. A stitch in time saved nine.
