AP Circle Conference Held at Vijayawada on - 18-02-2026
The Andhra Pradesh Circle Conference of AIBSNLPWA was held successfully at Vijayawada on 18-02-2026, with participation from around 500 members and delegates from across the State.
Com K S Koteswara Rao presided. Activity report submitted by Circle Secretary com D Venkateswara Rao and the periodical accounts by Circle Treasurer com J Narayanachari were adopted.
National President Comrades D. Gopala Krishnan, General Secretary V. Vara Prasad, and CHQ Treasurer T. S. Vittoban attended the conference and addressed the gathering on organisational matters, pensioners’ welfare, pension revision, and recent legal developments.
Other CHQ Office Bearers Comrades R. S. N. Murty, M. R. Patnaik, P. Pulla Rao, and M. Rajasekhara Reddy also participated in the proceedings.
NFTE-BSNL AP Circle Secretary Com A. Nagendra Babu greeted the conference and conveyed his best wishes. The leaders emphasized that pension revision, due from 01-01-2017 following the 2007 revision, should be implemented in line with the CAT Principal Bench, Delhi judgment (September 2023). Concerns were also raised regarding the adverse effects of Validation Act, non-inclusion of pension revision in the Terms of Reference of the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC).
The conference urged the Government to amend the 8th CPC Terms of Reference to include BSNL pension revision and clearly specify 01-01-2026 as the date of implementation.

AP Circle Conference at Vijayawada – A Grand Success .he Circle Conference held on 18-02-2026 at Vijayawada was completed with remarkable success. The credit for this significant achievement goes to each and every member who contributed wholeheartedly through the various committees constituted for the event.
Comrade M. R. S. Prakasa Rao garu played a pivotal role in steering the conference to success. His vast experience, gained over decades of dedicated involvement in several voluntary and service 0rganizations, was clearly reflected in the excellent planning and flawless execution of the conference. His leadership, guidance, and commitment were truly invaluable.
The teams and committee heads responsible for Accommodation, Food, Stage, Finance and Meeting Hall arrangements rendered outstanding service. Their meticulous planning and dedicated efforts ensured the comfort and convenience of nearly 500 delegates and visitors, earning wide appreciation and satisfaction from all participants.
Comrades K. V. Subrahmanyam, D. M. Durga Rao, Ch. Obula Reddy, K. Taja Rao, and I. Satya Murthy played a key role in the grand success of the event. Special appreciation is extended to committee heads and volunteers such as: Comrades S. Venkatappaiah, T. D. Aseervadam, C. Bhaskara Rao, P. Raju, G. Siva Nageswara Rao, S. Subba Rao, K. Appa Rao, K. Dharma Raju, S. D. V. V. Prasada Reddy, P Lakshmana Rao, V. S. R. Sarma, Y. Nageswara Rao, G. Narasimha Rao, and many others whose dedicated efforts ensured flawless arrangements and the smooth conduct of the conference. Appreciation is also due to the comrades from Machilipatnam, Challapalli, Gudivada, and Nuzvid for their participation and contributions.
Our heartfelt gratitude is due to all members and well-wishers who donated liberally, contributing significantly to the grand success of the event. Comrades M. Srimannarayana and V. R. K. Sarma also contributed to the success of the conference. We place on record our sincere appreciation and thanks to the outgoing District Leaders, Comrades K. K. R. N. Purnachandra Rao, C. Bhaskara Rao, and G. Siva Nageswara Rao. We wish them well and gratefully acknowledge their valuable services and contributions to the organization. We warmly welcome the newly elected District Office Bearers, Comrades P. Narasimha Rao, S. Subba Rao, and P. Ratnakar, and extend our best wishes for a successful tenure.
The conference was conducted successfully under the efforts of Comrades K. S. Koteswara Rao, D. Venkateswara Rao, and J. Narayana Chary, with the active participation of all District Secretaries, District Units, and Circle Office Bearers. We also acknowledge the guidance and contributions of the CHQ Leaders: Comrades R. S. N. Murthy, M. R. Patnaik, P. Pulla Rao, and M. Rajasekhar Reddy.
The conference was honoured by the gracious presence of Comrade D. Gopalakrishnan, National President, and Comrade T. S. Vittoban, All India Treasurer. Comrade D. Gopalakrishnan addressed the gathering for over an hour, while Comrade T. S. Vittoban briefly shared his remarks and greetings.
Comrade A. Nagendra Babu, NFTE Circle Secretary, conveyed his greetings. The presence of two former Circle Secretaries of NFTE added dignity and significance to the occasion.
We warmly welcome the newly elected Circle Office Bearers led by Comrade V. Viswanatham. The election process was conducted in a remarkably smooth, democratic, and unanimous manner, demonstrating the unity and organizational discipline of the delegates. Their willingness to assume responsibilities for the next term is highly appreciated. The collective spirit and dedication of leaders and delegates made the conference a resounding success.
